Code of Reader and Advertiser Engagement --A revised and updated document, approved by the boards of Magazines Canada, the Canadian Society of Magazine Editors and the National Magazine Awards Foundation. The guidelines -- formerly called the Advertising-Editorial Guidelines -- are intended to help editors, publishers and advertisers maintain an industry-wide standard for preserving the distinction between advertiser messaging and editorial content.
Canadian Professional Writers Survey 2006 -- The Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC) a very useful study of the payment of freelance writers in the Canadian market.
National Magazine Awards -- Here's where to go to get a list of the most recent winners and a searchable archive of past winners. The National Magazine Awards Foundation has been operating since 1977 and holds an annual gala evening at which the awards are made; the gala is the culmination of Magazines Week, during which MagNet the industry conference is held in Toronto. The Magawards also publish a Gold Book of more than 40 feature stories and visual spreads from the 36th annual awards.
